Do you have a public library?  You can check a few chess books out.  If you have a large library system, you can check out electronic books now too.

you can look for chess strategy for club player's by Grooten, wonderful book,it has recent enlarged edition.The author is one of the best coaches and made many GM but still managed to pen lucidly for club level players.
