I like "Chess Training For Budding Champions" by Jesper Hall.  He lays out the guides he followed in getting the IM title.

nic yearbook is good. the games in there are excellent.

the middlegame by euwe and kramer is unbeatable for the middlegame.

dvoretsky's endgame manual is absolutely essential for endgames.
