Ive got a good way to destroy someone who has castled play the puzzle below to watch
Remember to read the captions and tell me what you think i know some of them are just plain silly but it helps highlight the point im trying to make ( that castleing is a realy bad idea , thats why i dont do it) thanks for reading
i liked the puzzle, although i thought that d5 would work better than d3. Although the puzzle does show a good tactic and mating threat i also thought that it was unrealistic of black to keep going for the mate, rather than defending against the attack on g2. which could be stopped either by leaving the knight one e6 or by pushing to g3. thanks for the coment
Another thing that i prefer to attack with after a castle by my oponent is a pawn storm, thats why i dont normally castle early i get to then push the a and b or g and h pawns forcing him to either ignore it until its to late or push his pawns in front of the king. it also helps to have the c or f pawn which ends up in an even more forcing pawn storm
i totaly agree by the way how silly are the annotations of the solution oh and chess puzzles rarely mke sence i once made one wher the solution was a discoverd checkmate via an en Passent capture
It pretty much depends on who made it and how good they are. It also probably depends on if the person is trying to show just a tactic, or a realistic game scenario. the first is probably a better demonstration of the tactic, while the second makes u think longer and gives you better site.
Why not capture the knight with the bishop to threaten mate at once? Black's play seems dubious as well.
yeah i was just trying to show a cool tacktic i found playing my brother because he castled around move 4 or5 every game and it made me angry so i had to find a way to destroy it i even use this tactic against computers all the time they cant see whats comming because you immediatly reatreat pieces and attack while your opponents king is sleeping Btw thats a battle of san Jacinto refference the texans retreated to huston and while the mexican army was sleeping litteraly aparently they have this thing called a siesta which is an after lunch break where they take a nap the texans attacked Its kinda funny
Sometimes castling can end out good, it pretty much depends on the opening, for example the king's indian puts you in a good position to castle early. But in some openings castling could make your king more open. To decide when and if to castle it would probably help to know the opening that you comonly, and how you normaly attack, i tend to use a pawn storm whenever my oponent castles, so it helps to protect your king if you do not castle in the direction of the pawn storm if you do not castle at all. When i first learned how to play chess i was taught to castle early so this is probably the thinking of many people who castle early. Castling also results in only having to defend one end of the board, but it also causes your oponent concentrate on that side of the board, but if you do not castle you can be attacked from both sides of the board, but it doesn't move all of your oponents pieces towards your king, I think it depends on how you like to play the game!!!
Neither side is playing very good chess I think simply just picking up blacks hanging queen is the best first move for white to start out with, and the attack lines don't seem accurate at all.
That was what I would've done first time, if it had let me, picking up a free queen is better than going for a mate that was never there, but the actual tactic that was demonstrated throught the problem is a good mate to know, it is common but under circumstances it can be missed by many, also if you move something out of the way to get the shot at the mate you could end up winning a piece if your opponent sees the mating threat

i thought so too :D, i was on all day the other day and i didnt realy have anything to do and i didnt want to play live, also i am a playing lots of online games but the people move too slow in them, so i decided to make this to talk about chess, and maybe learn a bit, and help players on good chess questions and listen to music while i do it. I also like it when people leave long comments, that way i have something to occupy my time, rather than making moves on random chess games and staring at the screen waiting for a new comment
, but now i am rambling on and on while someone else has probably already put a up a new post, even if you only want to say something irrelevant still say so i can reply pleasenow i am out of my box because i know someone has posted something new, but i will finish this post before reading it then i will have something to do

The forum has dropped off of today's hot topic's, and it's because of everyone who is looking at this forum, but not posting, so far i have only had one tactic and nothing other than a few other posts, i have posted more on my own forum than everyone else who has read this combined, originally when i started this i excpected at least 2 pages with cool postitions/problems/tactics/games etc. but so far we have only had one tactic and nothing else, except that one tactic.
OK so i have been waiting three days for a new comment, but no one has decided to post anything, so i will find a cool tactic in one of my games and post it, just to get more views and comments, hope that people will decide to comment on my game.
