As I've said before about four times in this very forum, it does not apply to everything. It's a simple matter of statistics that where there are more of one group doing something, it is more likely that the group with more members will be better. Please see posts #29, #31, #33, and #39.

More boys play chess than girls, but how do the average ratings compare? In any case, averages are oversimplistic. Some girls are better at chess than almost all boys. Quite a few boys must be worse than the average girl. Anyone who has not reached the top 10 in the world cannot justify a claim of being better than girls at chess.

I agree that more boys play chess than girls do, I'm a girl but most of my friends don't but some girls in grade 1 in my school do, women, girls can sometimes be better in chess, for example me, well not really but I have beaten my dad in chess and did a checkamate. Just because more boys play chess doesn't mean that girls are bad.

girls aren't bad at chess, when you compare both genders of the same age you find that they are mostly similar. I myself am a boy playing at a high level for my age but so is some girl too out there. men in the long shot have the butterfly effect almost while girls have a slighter case for evolutionary traits

I do not believe that boys are stronger chess players than girls, but that the boys are more obsessed with it, study it more, and become stronger men, practically, than the women solely for differences in dedication. I'll bring up Judit Polgar, as almost the sole female representative of that kind of dedication, who reached World #8 at 2735. When interviewed, I have heard women state that they study 6 hours a day, but many of the men claim that they study 8-10 hours per day. True confessions.
