Breaking the tilt cycle

I've just hit yet another major tilt moment, dropping about 200+ rating points from ~1200 to 1000 in a couple of days and accuracy massively dropping.  I seemingly can't play chess anymore.  This happens quite a lot for me - and I can't quite figure out why.

For me these almost come weekly, I'll play well be able to see moves and then suddenly just not be able to play, fall for all the traps, blunder and hang pieces constantly.

In terms of approach to try and prevent this happening, what sort of things do you do?

You seem to be suffering from long Covid. El Niño can make this worse.

The key is to regain control of the narrative.

Take regular breaks

Play fewer games per day or create a rule for yourself that you'll stop playing after losing 2 or 3 games.

I am also in a hard tilt (went from 1450 to my current rating)… personally, I would suggest taking a break. That’s what I am doing, anyways.
