Even if it wasn't yours, I appreciate you sharing it!
Chess: jovialdick vs blueemu - 200865884 - Chess.com
The whole game from about move 10 on, but especially 18. ... Ne5.
I change my vote to this one.
So far, the standings are:
BlackLawliet +1
Blueemu +1
Keep in mind, this doesn't mean that the competition is over, these are just the current standings. I appreciate all of you who have submitted their brilliant/best moves!
Please post your brilliancies here so we can decide on who's is the best! If you want to vote for someone's brilliancy, just repost it and add an indicator that you are voting for it, such as a +1. To start us off, here is mine:Bxe6!!
Also, it would be preferable if you based your judgments on the complexity of the move, rather than just picking queen sacrifices. For example, a pawn move may not seem as good as a queen sacrifice, but it may be harder to find/requires more calculation to play successfully.
Thankyou!
Doesn't this depend on black taking with which pawn? If they take with d7 then you Rxc6 but if they take with f7 then that was giving a bishop for free, unless it was to ruin their pawn structure? Or is there something i am missing?

Not sure if its been done in the thread, but as I am still very much learning, can someone take me through what makes this brilliant? (Serious question)

Here, i'll re-post it and show the lines
In this position, I've won a pawn, I'm threatening checkmate, and I have a big attack. Now this is the line that the computer suggests:
After the last move Re4, the engines suggests either Nxe5, or Qxre4 just to end the attack.

A brilliancy is a move that the computer overlooked and would not have suggested at first until after it was played or after the computer analyzed it at higher depth.
In this position, I've won a pawn, I'm threatening checkmate, and I have a big attack. Now this is the line that the computer suggests:
After the last move Re4, the engines suggests either Nxe5, or Qxre4 just to end the attack.
In the second scenario white becomes more down in material. Wouldn't leaving the bishop in b3 from the start be better?

Good question. Even though I am down material, I would quickly win it back as blacks only saving moves are to sacrifice pieces. This combined with the fact that I have a devastating attack makes it so that without perfect play, blacks position will crumble, and even with perfect play, I will have the upper hand.
