Bulldog Chess with Witch, Guard, and Tree (rychessmaster1 vs. Yo-thats-fresh)

Sort:
Jakker4

This is a game between rychessmaster1 (white) and Yo-thats-fresh (black). Three new pieces are added:

Witch (W)

null
The witch is transparent to friendly pieces, and she also makes all adjacent pieces (friend and foe) transparent to friendly pieces (but pieces are not transparent for the witch). The witch
does not capture other pieces, but she can be captured. Although pieces are not transparent to the witch, she is very agile; she combines the movement of queen, knight, and can jump
orthogonally and diagonally two squares. Transparency of a piece means that other pieces can move, attack, and capture right through the piece.

Guard (G)

null
Moves and captures like a king, but is not Royal.

Tree (Tr)

null

The Tree can move one step orthogonally, cannot capture, and can be captured. Having your Tree captured is of no further consequence.
It's mandatory, always at the end of your turn, to have your Tree orthogonally adjacent to at least one friendly piece. So any move that does not result into this circumstance counts as
illegal.
A player who has no Tree does not have this obligation. A piece can give check despite being hampered by this obligation!

(For further convenience, we will call a Tree without any orthogonally adjacent friendly piece an abandoned Tree. Moving your piece orthogonally adjacent to your abandoned Tree - or vice
versa - will be referred to as reconnecting to your Tree.)

All other rules of Chess apply, including rules regarding check, mate and stalemate.
Exception: If a player is not in check, and has an abandoned Tree, and has no legal move to reconnect to his/her Tree, then it is not stalemate, but that player loses.

Castling:
The rules of castling are similar as in classical chess, however, with the board 10 squares wide, the king travels three squares rather than two. The rook finishes adjacent to the king. All
squares between the king and the involved rook must be unoccupied, with the exception of the witch and pieces made transparent by the witch.

Misc: Pawns play the same as in classical chess. Pawns can promote to queen, rook, bishop, knight in addition to guard and witch and tree. Promotions are unlimited (not restricted to pieces that
have been captured).

Other rules of this game are identical with rules of classical chess.

Good luck to rychessmaster1 and to myself!

Apologies for the eyesore of a board, but it is, perhaps, all I can do.

Alright, I lose. Sorry, I would just really prefer if I didn't have to make the boards that way.

Yo-thats-fresh it shouldn't be that timeconsuming

I only moderate games where i am one of the players, and that is doable. Takes below 3 minutes per move.
