bullet 1 min

I’ve noticed when playing 1 minute chess games my time goes down 2 seconds every time I make a move, and my opponents time goes up a second or two. Even when making a move as quickly as I possibly can, my time will always go down 2 seconds. Maybe I’m going crazy, but does this happen to anyone else? And why?

You're lagging but not enough to get lag compensation while your opponent is lagging and getting lag compensation

Sounds like you're experiencing high lag.

How are you able to notice this?  When I play 1 minute bullet, I have enough trouble just moving my pieces and I can't even look at the clock.  Looking at the clock would probably make me play worse, actually.

Well I play on a pretty small screen, and can see the clock out of the corner of my eye. Also I noticed pretty quickly that I was running out of time way faster than my opponent, despite making moves as fast as I could
