You need no strategy in bullet round except to move your pieces as fast as you can I just don't see the point

It's because you're not good enough to use strategy and tactics that fast yet. Get better at longer games first, then faster games will make more sense to you.
OP is right, bullet is garbage and not really chess. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a pathetic ~1800 caliber player trying to compensate for the fact they never got anywhere in their chess career.

No, men don't play 1+0. by definition bullet chess is a variant of blitz chess, bullet chess games have less than three minutes per player, based on a 40 move game, although one minute per player chess can be excluded, common time controls for this setting is 2 minutes with one-second increment or 1 minute with a two-second increment.
By definition chess is a variant of checkers.
