Can anyone become a National Master?

Is National Master title attainable by anyone who works hard enough for it or do you have to have to be born with some natural talent?

Nope. It is only available in some countries. But if you are a US player it is possible without extraordinary talent.

My guess is, that out of the three factors - talent, hard systematic work, starting as a kid - you probably need 2 in order to have a shot at that title.
