Does anyone recognize this set? I'm curious what brand or make this chess set is? These photos were taken at the Stanley Kubrick Exhibition in Los Angeles. This was his personal chess set. Thanks for your help!

Not sure, I have a set somewhat similar.

The spindles on the others appear thinner in Kubrick's set.
The Knights appear the same as do the Rooks.

I love the look of that set though. The Pawns look thin and fighting fit, ready to do the King's bidding. The Knights are proud, heads held high.

The thin spindles make for easy cradling, a preferred way of moving your army as you enjoy a cigar, a snifter of cognac and solve the worlds problems with a dear friend after a good dinner of Chateaubriand.

To me, it closely resembles a Lardy of France (Staunton) design.

Interesting Shine to that set. Some of the darker pieces appear almost Orange. One can only wonder what Odyssey brought it to this museum, almost like Clockwork.
