Ok, pawn move forward one square at a time except the first move it may move 2 squares. Pawn takes diagonal forward right and left 1 square. Rook, well, you figure it out. It's getting harder.

I can coach you for free, but on openings only since I consider myself an opening specialist. I can teach you about great openings like the Bongcloud and Fried Fox that will greatly improve your chances of winning against a player who isn't very good at openings.

I can't help you with coaching(too busy), but you can message me if you have a question. If you like you can challange me for a few unrated games and i help you a little. I am a (strong) clubplayer and I have another +2300 account here.

Get Fine's Basic Endgame Manual, start from the first page and do it in order.  Sometimes he'll tell you to place the pieces a certain way instead of presenting a diagram for every position.  Capablanca recommended to start with endgames.

For example, I want you to tell me who you think is better, by how much, and why in this position.  Then tell me how you'd go about winning, drawing, or putting up the most resistance:

Endgames are very important.
