Chess has an option of draw by agreement that may hint towards something bigger, also in culture chess is usually associated with meaningful talks during the game

Its easy to imagine something like "if you dont take that piece or move here, i won't go there or i can make some concession later when you are in trouble" in chess, offering some tactical tradeoffs for strategic benefits etc

Game would be much cooler being more positional and strategic or even invovling some diplomacy, instead of early queen abuses and rushing aggressive chess youtube agenda that makes chess just a minimalistic vesrion of DOTA with all its toxicity
