Can disconnecting repeatedly be a sign of cheating?

It happens to me time and time again that, despite having a good connection, my opponents briefly disconnect after one of my moves before continuing to play. This usually happens after White's first move or when I am in the lead. And often, my opponents then manage to turn the game around. Is this a known cheating tactic? Or just a coincidence?

Creating threads like this can be a sign of their forthcoming end

Maybe it is a coincidence

Happens to me too. It's really suspicious. But sadly, you can't talk about it here

Thanks for your answer. Why not? - Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm new here.

A moderator might come here and lock the thread as discussion of cheating is not allowed on the forum

Thanks a lot for your explanation. Now I know it won't irritate me that much anymore.
