just wondering if there are any dogs that can play chess and if so how do they play and how do they learn?

Nekhemevich

comeandtakeit15

seriously there haven't ever been any grandmasters who have taught a dog or any animal for that matter how to play chess?

It's the "seriously" part that's so depressing.

I was just curious. I mean some dogs are supposed to be smarter than people so even if it couldn't make the moves do you think it'd theoretically be able to understand the game ?

I didn't know they had actual photographic evidence of dogs playing poker? Though it could be photoshopped, you never know.

There's an app for that.

melvich

Yes they can,but they are not very good. I beat my dog almost every game.

I'm sure Pavlov could teach dogs to,say, salivate at e4,bark at d4,growl at c4.I'm not sure if he could teach them the morra gambit though..
