U have to select new game, and select the image of a human for both black and white, that way u control both sides and can also flip the board

i know it is a fairly old thread but I am using the Ipad version of chess.com and I cannot find a way to play both the whites and the blacks. When selecting the against the computer mode, all i have is the choice of computer characters which are listed by level. Then I can choose if i am white or black but there is no option to play against a human. So has this feature been removed from the ipad vesion?
I'm starting a chess game by text with a friend, and I want to keep track of it on a board on here. Is there a mode where I control both the white and black pieces?
