Can we play a fide chess tournament earlier???

I am confused because after ten days their is a fide rated tournament. it's my first fide tournament. I have not a rating yet. but I am not fully prepared for this. can I play it or not. can it make a bad ratings or give a good experience? ???
plz suggest me something about it
