Not by a million miles. Kasparov was the champ and recognised best for well over a decade. He didn't lose as white for years. Carlsen record isn't nearly at the same level yet.

In ten years if magnus gets better then yes, Right now i agree with Scottrf for sure Carlsen is a great player but just can't compete with the big G yet

Until his career ends, we won't be able to tell who was better. But, Kasparov clearly has a much more impressive career span.
