can you recall some of the best tactics you ever saw in a position and won?

You don't have to be a top player to answer this but when you see a good tactic and won the game with it, do you normally remember what tactic it was? Like I did x and x and it worked and won the game for me.  Do you have to be able to ARTICULATE your tactics from a given position that you have played before in order to demonstrate your understanding of such position?  Pattern recognition isn't a viable explanation because it's vague.

I won with a smothered mate and a queen sac. Terrible hanging queen of mine at move 17 that my opponent didn't see.
