US Chess CM is not a recognized title here. Only NM for US Chess, you need at least CM from FIDE.

Why isn’t cm from us chess accepted though?

Most people don't consider it an actual title. The site only recognizes official FIDE OTB titles and the NM title for any federations that have it.

I think I've read somewhere that you get that title for being 2 000 USCF. NM you get for 2 200 USCF, and that is comparable to 2 200 FIDE = FIDE CM title.

In any case, I presume that recognizing USCF CM title would mean they would have to give membership for free for a lot more people compared to know, and it wouldn't be profitable to do so.

I guess they just drew a line there.
