Candidates chairs

Does anyone know why every player gets a different chair and what's the criteria for getting a specific chair? Just something I noticed while watching a bit of it today that every player gets a different one for no apparent reason. Anybody knows why?

It's a custom dating back to Fischer vs Spassky.

The chess.com commentators mentioned that players can bring their own chairs, but in this tournament one player (I forgot which one) was not allowed to use the chair he brought.

Anish Giri was talking about the chairs and I believe he said the organizers asked the players their preference and they would get them the chair the players wanted. Kind of cool of the organizers to do that.
