He can, of course, but I think it's unlikely. His form lately, and for some time (the past year or more) has not been Championship quality. He's also at that age when guys commonly begin to lose their peak mental acuity, and usually a bit of their killer instinct as well. But then again, Botvinnik and Lasker were both champions at age 50...so who knows?
