Chess.com appreciates it's members, but doesn't have time to talk to each of them! The ratio would be something like 1:10,000 (just guessing). The way around this is to have an automated program send out messages like this. It's not that they don't care, but can't spend 10 hours a day doing it by hand. Makes plenty of sense to me

They could install one of those artificial intelligence programs from japan, which can accept friend requests, respond, chat with people, give out more trophies, troll into forums etc.
