Maybe the CAPS system is bugged, because I was at the start a pawn down.

lol...ur CAPS is higher than Carlsen's...woah...we just found a Carlsen here...just kidding! Happy New Year :)
I'm serieus my point is that the CAPS Sytem doesnt work... Check some random games of yourself (at max computer dept) and you will also find 98+ scores
How do you know the CAPS score of your games? How do you reach a chess.com function that tells you what it is?
I didn't know that such a feature was available...

FYI: there is a fairly active discussion about CAPS at this link:
https://www.chess.com/article/view/better-than-ratings-chess-com-s-new-caps-system
and many other people also report surprising results from CAPS. It might be a good idea to add your games to the heap of doubtful results -- the more complaints chess.com gets, the more likely they are to do something about it.

From the link:
"It is a measurement of you (the chess player) against the most accurate possible move in the position according the world's strongest engines."
Meh, good players play 2nd and 3rd best (and sometimes much lower) moves on purpose. Practical moves, like low risk high reward. I'm not sure how much this kind of measurement matters.
"A good argument for the CAPS measurement having nothing to do with the strength of opponents is that a player like Magnus Carlsen (currently rated 2853 in the live list) might win 10 games in a row against a set of opponents with an average rating of 2730. Under standard rating systems, he might not gain many rating points for this winning streak."
What the hell? This was written by an IM?
In other words, "what I'm writing is a steaming pile of marketing BS." Nice to know, but surprising he made it so obvious.
I got a CAPS of 98.69 today in a rapid game. Was quite suprised never checked CAPS before

How often/likely does a player of my strength, 1800 elo, achieve such a game?
