Carlsen Loses Two Games In A Row!

The players now know that Carlsen is not “invincible.” How will he handle the pressure and how will the other players react? Time will tell.

TheRocketKing

lucky for him there is a rest day tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised if Anand is not partying tonight lol!

Anand will have to show up in better physical condition for the next WCC match.

DJOKER27

Nakamura is emboldened now. Magnus is no longer the Magician. The Emperor wears no clothes.

Fischer would be rated 3000 plus using today's hyper inflated rating system

If so the entire top ten of his day would have been 2850+, sounds a bit high.

Pathetic indian, just plain pathetic. Learn some respect, or should I start the "Carlsen won undefeated against Anand" music?

grounded down?

I agree, they are not pathetic. You are pathetic, which is quite a different thing. A loss is a hard kick? Then Anand spent his last 3-4 years in hospital? I don't understand your view on chess games between GM's. Rather childish, but I'll let you have it like that if your brain is not developed enough to discuss openly and in a normal way.

bouncing_check

The way that most of these Carlsen/Anand/whoever threads develop into personal mudslinging matches after a few posts never ceases to amaze me. I always thought Chess was a game for people with a certain basic intelligence and education.

Who the fudge is Carlisle?  I'm sure you didn't mean Carlsen because failing to get his name right redefines the bar for how mentally retarded as you seem to be.

Beren_Camlost

I hope this is a sign of things to come for Mr. Foot-in-Mouth, I mean Carlsen

I have noticed that Mr.Carlson has lost at least once in the exchange variation of  the Ruy,while Bobby never lost a single game with this opening. When Bobby said he devoted 98% of his time to studying chess,I believed him.I do not see the same level of dedication in today's players.

Scottrf

It wasn't the exchange variation.

And anyway, could it not be that Carlsen opponents are better? With the increase in prize money etc chess is more competitive now.

I'm not really sure about the accuracy of your conclusions.

What tournament did Grischuk play in?

AyoDub

you know you're the best in the world when a thread gets made because you lost TWO!!? games in a row

This is the closest in years Carlsen has ever come to a bad tournament: +0...

Look, if you want to crap on him go ahead. But then, please, crap on everyone who gets and has gotten +0 (or heaven forbid, worse!) within a few years too. That's all I have to say.

Yeah, my main concern is not Carlsen losing, but rather WHO can win? Let's start with this tournament. And since no one looks good enough to win it, I won't be surprised if it STILL goes to Carlsen.
