I want Anand. But I think Carlsen.
Carlsen vs Anand

ya, but its gonna be an intense match, do you think that the chennai environemtn will affect his play?

@isaac its a completely different scenario from where he usually plays but its a possiblity. I really dont have a good guess on whose gonna win the match cause we dont know how good carlsen is as a match player

Don't underestimate Anand! He's a very strong match player. Carlsen has proved himself in tournament play, but match play is a different animal.

The experience factor is a very interesting situation. A lot of people are pointing out Anands tremendous experience in matches & Carlsens lack of any matches at all. But as someone observed (maybe Anand or one of the other top players) the history of the world championship matches are full of examples where it made absolutely no difference who was more experienced. The inexperienced player won the match just as often as the more experienced one. That's even more interesting I think. Someone should go check those stats out, I'm sure it's all there in the records somewhere. I don't feel like doing it though, I just wanna veg out.

One of the disadvantages for Anand will be that Carlsen is extremely difficult to prepare for. He is willing to play almost any opening and has proven he can play each in a variety of styles.

After Anand's disappointing match with a 1st time WC challenger Gelfand, WC match experience cannot be a big factor. Anand have nothing to be ashamed if he lose to a future greatest chess player.

Yes, I believe Anands big advantage in opening prep will be completely nullified by Carlsens unpredictable opening choices. I'm sure Magnus will play good, solid, maybe even main line openings because it is such an important event. No crazy, sideline stuff I don't think. BUT, there's just no telling what Magnus will play is the thing. He can play e4, d4, or c4, even Nf3. & as black he has a wide range of choices. & if Anand deliberately tries sideline stuff himself so that Carlsen can't predict what Anand will play then I think that plays into Carlsens style. I can't wait.

I tried this by listing all the matches for the world championship, the winner was (or champion if tied) listed first, the person who I believed had more experience in high level matches I bolded.
