We are Diamond members, are we going to be able to see the match between Magnus Carlsen and Sergey Karjakin, at the Chess.com?

Diamond members?

Like everyone on chess.com, you will be able to see the moves here on a widget, with no commentary.

If you want more, live commentary, a VR view, you have to pay $15. You can access the pay per view by clicking on the widget.

No other site will be legally able to offer a live broadcast. Chess.com will provide a ChessTV analysis after the game is over.

I paid the $15. and am not sure where to click and watch the game. I do not want to wait for the last minute and try to log in. so I'm looking around now. Anyone know how long the games will last?

So for 129 swedish crones per month I can not even have to see Magnus Carlsen and Sergey Karjakin, the chess.com? What exactly am I paying for then? What do I get out of chess.com more than those who do not pay anything at all?

https://www.chess.com/member/notmtwain - What do you mean with "Diamond members?"

I pay for a Diamond members konto. What is it that you know? :)

I think AGON have exclusive rights to the moves and have been threatening legal action against any other sites that broadcast them - which would include chess.com if they broadcast the moves in real-time - so I guess that's why they're not doing so.

I believe other sites will still broadcast the moves and supply commentary though. They did for the candidates.

I wouldn't mind paying for the AGON site but they're making a big deal out of providing "virtual reality" and other such garbage. Which is about at useful as a chocolate fire-guard in my opinion. All I want is entertaining commentary

Why in the world would you think diamond membership got you any special broadcast of the match? There is literally a list of all the features and benefits to diamond membership when you sign up. Chess.com has no affiliation with Agon or the championship match. They are a site for playing and learning about chess, as well as socializing with other chess enthusiasts. Occasionally they will host their own tournaments or they are given permission to cover other events. But Agon has the exclusive rights to the championship match. They paid for that right and they're charging $15 per viewer to recoup those costs. Chess.com is a completely separate site.

Hi TREXtastic

I agree with you all the way.

Chess.com was not honest about the situation............. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
