Several weeks ago I published an article at a site called Chess News and Views, operated by an acquaintance of mine.  Normally I don't like to advertise, but this site isn't a competitor and contains some worthwhile material.  If you want to look the site over, click the link above.  If you care to read my article, click: Caïssa's Battlefield.

Skimmed it, and liked what I saw. I'lll give it a proper read when I have some free time.

I just noticed that battle , has the word bat, in it. I see what you did there, beautiful.

Outstanding! Never heard about it, but for some reason boards as pieces of cloth or carpet have that Easter "touch" to me.

I like the idea of a uni-colored board. It seems to me to be more chaotic.

Colors aren't necessary... even a board is extraneous. But both are certainly a help to most of us.

Should chess be chaotic?

Chaos and creativity go together. So a bit of chaos would be nice. :)
