My opponent has just moved his castle to the right by jumping over his king! Is this a glitch in this game or a new move I’m unaware of? I’m not talking about castling, the king hasn’t moved.

game?

Bruce1960s

This does sound like a glitch Charlie_Girl. If your rook which was never designed to jump over a piece does the coding had gone wack. I would report the bug.

If this is a Chess960 game then it might be legal, but if this is a standard game, it is illegal. Can you post the pgn?

It's a 960 game and your opponent castled.

It is a glitch I think

It's not a glitch

NobleElevator

It's not a glitch since, as Martin said, it was Chess960. Castling there is pretty tricky wink.png

talliholic

it is not a glitch.

What happens is that in chess960,

the rooks might be closer or farther away from the king,

so for castling to happen,

the rooks must sometimes move and the king doesn't

so no hackers or glitches out here! happy.png
