I have been reaquainted to chess after a 23 year hiatus. Now I'm hooked again at 61 years of age, so please forgive me for perhaps two stupid questions.

1) Is it possible to checkmate your opponent with a castleing move?

2) Is it permissable if you have a black square bishop and you promote on a black square and select another bishop ie; two black sqaure bishops...is it legal?  THANK YOU!

The answer to #1 is no, you cannot castle if you king would pass through an attacked square or be put into check.

I know that it is possible to checkmate from a castling move, but I just want to know how you got that rook out of the corner.  haha
