Hello folks: I was playing against the computer and this little rascal wink.png castled like this: is it allowed or was it just a desperate move?

Of course it is allowed. He castles queen's side O-O-O. His king does not pass though check.

The rook can castle through a “check”, only the king cannot

A nuance that a lot of people overlook. 0-0-0.png The King is never in check in that situation, so it's fine.
