The other player most likely turned off chat. That means you cannot chat for the remainder of the game. I'm not sure if it comes back on automatically after that game, so if it doesn't, just reenter Live Chess. Some people just don't like to chat because they consider it distracting to their game.

Can anyone help. During a game the chat facility disappeared. How do I turn this back on so I can chat at the same time as I play?
