cheater_1's Q & A session

Cheating IS totally undetectable from a LEGITIMATE player's perspective. But to a cheater as I am, we can spot them a mile away. Why? Because when a player routinely beats my Chessmaster in a 2 minute game, I have irrefutable proof that he or she was using a stronger prog such as Fritz. FUN FACT: No human being has ever beaten a professional strength chess program in a game under 30 minutes per side. EVER! So when I get my butt handed to me, I'd bet my parent's life, as well as mine, that I was playing another program.
There is a useful four-letter word, and the above post is full of it!
Any top-level legitimate player will instinctively know if someone is cheating due to the lack of mistakes from the other side, because every chess player makes mistakes, even IM's and GM's. That is why cheating is detectable.

LOL - erm no, but it means the same thing. It starts with a C ;)

I would like to hear what you have to say to Machiavelli's question. What is your experience with otb play? I won't even ask why you only cheat at chess. I would like to ask why you only play online chess. You have claimed to love chess; not just cheating at online chess, but the game itself. For me, the greatest pleasure I can get from the game will always be achieved otb. I am sure that any chess enthusiast would agree that otb play is chess in its purest form. So why not get acquainted with the real thing?
Do you still play otb? Did you try it and stop?
Remember, I am not trying to criticize. I just think that you would find chess to be a more fulfilling experience if you approached it differently (from how I assume you are approaching it). If you think this is just a self-righteous crusade, let me know, and this will be the last thing I post about you.

cheater_1 it seems you enjoy online chess cheating a lot for reasons I don't really care for. It comes across that you are in fact hooked on what you do, almost like some sort of substance abuse. I would like to know if you ever actually considered to venture into something like internet fraud? (In South Africa it seems to be a national sport to extract peoples banking info from them via all kinds of devious ways and then to rid those foolish souls of the last cents they have...)
It seems only logical that you'll eventually make the transition from a soft "crime" like online chess cheating to bully chess players, to something equally thrilling and a bit more rewarding? Then you can bully the capitalists a bit?
Care to monitor you pulse rate while you write a post? I think it could be an interesting little exercise. Mine's 90 bpm. Needless to say, I'm a little bit irked by some of you people on this thread.
Cheater_1, I would like to say that it speaks well for you that you are willing to answer questions, even if the answers don't speak well for you in everyone's eyes. You should stop trying to establish yourself as an authority in the feild, because even if you speak 100% the truth, it is too hard to believe and provides more fodder for the flamers. I may run a blog called "Daily Redneck Monent," but I can't say that I speak for all rednecks, just this redneck and rednecks like me. equally, though you may cheat and post topics on the subject, you can't speak for every cheater, just you and those like you. Just speak for yourself. Of course, if watching people fight over petty things is your intent, carry on. It is quite fun to read. However, may I suggest that you give them something tougher to attack, and see where they go with that? I would like to see if it would remain at the playground level of maturity, or if they would work on their arguments until they didn't require as many assumptions.
Now, I've got a question. Out of all the flamers you have attracted, who do you find the most entertaining, if that is the right word?

Cheater 1 please take your story and your lies and move on to checkers. I am sure there is a whole generation of people waiting to be taught how to cheat at new games and you have the skill and the knowledge to help these people. You've done the chess thing - you are the Godfather of Chess Cheaters for the last ten years - Go back and read your posts - You are a flaming idiot !! ON FIRE!!
Why haven't the 100s of people you taught cheating at chess come out of the woodwork to share your tale of lies? Why hasn't your account been deleted yet?
You stand for everything that chess.com is against. GO SOME WHERE ELSE!!

He doesn't play chess on this site, so he can't really be accused of cheating here. All he does is advocate dishonesty in chess, and I don't think there's an official rule against that.
(Not an admin, but that's how it looks from where I'm sitting.)

That is probably true. Even though I dislike Cheater_1 to an extremely great extent, my dislike is probably not an official reason for account deletion. It would be very amusing though.

No I disagree, Erik and co made it clear their website shall not be the place to talk about religion and politics, yet they let some lunatic spread his philosophies on unethical behavior in online chess. I would say they should have deleted his account along time ago, and if he surfaces again, delete it again.

Erik has commented on at least one thread (a few I think) that the best way to handle Cheater_1 is to simply not respond to him. Good advice really...
I think the admins could ban this member without too much backlash, but I think they are letting chess.com users be adult enough to decide whether they are going to fuel this fire or simply let it burn out.

Wow, so you get a rush just like cheater_1. That's great. To be totally honest, I don't care. I'm not sure, but some of you people out there seem to have forgotten that this person confessed to cheating and still tries to insist that what he is doing is right, and tries to act like our parents protecting us from all of the better players out there.

oginschile the same could be said about any heated discussion albeit cheating, religion or politics.

he doesn't play on our site, he isn't rude or offensive. he is just.... well, you decide. and if you don't like him (i don't), don't pay attention to him and he will go away.
