Cheaters.

I thought it was just a stereotype, but almost everyone cheats on Chess.com. I can beat an AI at 1400 easier than people online at EOLs of ~400. I'm done, I've resulted to just deleting the app in it's entirety. I'll continue to be interested in chess, but this sickens me to the point of depression. I can't imagine a newcomer trying to play against these shameless people, Good day.

The same amount of cheaters exist for us all. Don't cry. Just play chess.

I don't understand how I'm supposed to enjoy playing when I'm always matched with a cheater that's using an engine equivalent to an EOL of 2000+. I'm in a chess club and let me tell you, if I can beat some of them, but can't be a EOL of 400, then there EOL must be in the negatives. I thought I was just so terrible at chess, but after joining a chess club I've come to the conclusion that people are just cheating. It almost ruined my confidence, and it's sick what people will do just for an insignificant score online.

your ratings are impressive!

I know they're terrible, but if I'm so terrible, how do you propose that I'm able to beat 1400 AI's so easily?

OP loses games on purpose, no wonder he has a ridiculously low rating.

if you really can beat 1400 rated people, maybe you should start looking at your own play in all your games. how do you think the "I lost so they cheated-attitude" will ever help you? your opponents did not play even close to a 2000 rating and honestly it is not really that hard for them to find the best move if you keep hanging pieces or give them opportunities to mate you every time. so if you are not trolling, I advice you to click on the analysis button more often and look at your own moves first instead of accusing other people of cheating :)

Chess.com takes cheating very seriously: see

Cheaters are banned when they are detected. There are various tools that are used to keep them from returning without permission; these tools are familiar to anyone who has run an online forum.
However, discussions of cheating in the main forum is not permitted, as it tends to become very heated and result in lots of public accusations, many of which are completely unfounded; you might be surprised how many cheating reports we get about low-rated players after a game that was a complete blunderfest. If all these reports were aired in public, it would just cause an ugly flame war. I am therefore locking this post.

To report a suspected cheater to the Support team, please select Report Abuse under the Help menu, or use this link: https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new. All reports are investigated, even if there is no immediate visible action.

To discuss the matter of cheating further, or to learn more about cheat detection, please join the Cheating Forum: https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum
