Cheating

Don’t expect any feedback on this, just need to vent my anger . I was up 3 points in the end game . An opponent was in a bad position . They then proceeds to auto-resign for 20 seconds after each of my moves . He/she always came back with the best move . Once they got in a winning position, auto resigns stopped . I lost the game in the end.

Auto-resign.....like they wouldn't make a move so the site would think they abandoned it?

Yeah I think so too it is in order to keep the person engaged

Auto re-sign is when someone leaves the site. You have three minutes to enter the site again or you lose the game .

The only game I see in your history for today that matches your description is the one where you hung your queen to a simple 2-move tactic. Up to that point, you were up an exchange and winning; however, you decided to play very passively once you got the material advantage. So, while it is possible something nefarious was going on, more likely you just turned off your brain when you had a winning position and expected your opponent to roll over for you.

Well the guy I played and I am suspicious about, all of a sudden has a rank of 1711 that’s up about two hundred points from when i played him 4 hours ago . If that is not suspicious i don’t know what is .

Prior to today, he had not played in over 18 months. That means his RD was extremely high, so he would gain a lot of points for wins for the first ~25 games.

Now, does that mean something nefarious is not going on? Nope, it is quite possible. However, in the game you played, you did not lose because of sudden good play on his part, but on rather poor play on your part.

Edit:. And looking at the games he has played today, I can assure you he is not doing anything funny.

And all those 500s winning hourly events yeah because they play against ppl their level they can win 15 games ina row lol
Site is infested with cheaters and there is not a single move to stop it otherwise we wouldn’t be seen these abominations happening every hour of the day/night 24/7

thats why i play mostly otb

ive had games where i have advantage or  winning, then all of sudden they stop playing for a minute or 2, then they  come back playing all the stockfish top options and this happens so much to be and they arent even banned yet

What going through the game does not show . Is that when he was in a difficult position he would auto-resign and come back again . In addition a guy with a rank of 1711, would not fall for the trap that put him three points down in the first place .

Like I said, none of his games (including the one against you) shows any signs of overly impressive play, regardless of his connection issues. His rating is inflated due to his RD being high and being a little lucky. You can either accept you screwed up and learn from it, or insist that anyone who beats you from a list position must have been cheating. One way allows you to improve, the other does not. Take your pick.
