I’m only a 1450-1500 player. But I’m getting sick of the cheating. I use to subscribe but what’s the point. When will the app start banning IP addresses and accounts permanently!

I’m not just whining cause I’m losing, I get notifications daily for unfair play. Permanently bann these people!

I don’t know if talking about cheating is aloud, so you have to join a club discussion about cheating.

Banning IP addresses is not going to work.

To quote the mythical, magnificent, and mighty @Martin_Stahl, “The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount.
That said, if you suspect another member of using disallowed resources, you should report them. A large number of games are checked but there are to many too check all of them.

@goisetop, and you would be right! It is not allowed (something the mods have to say waaaaaay too much), it’s nice to know someone understands

It is not good to ban IP adresses. Do you know why? Because what if a cheater uses a computer in a coffee shop, and then if someone else tries to play on chess.com there, then he can't. And it is useless, because they can use a VPN to switch IP adresses every second. Btw, #inb4thelock

They lose money if they ban cheaters. That's why. 1 million people cheat a year... That's a lot of money

Sorry. Accidentally posted. Anyway, play bots, or unrated games, or put a chess program on your computer. Is a higher elo worth all the frustration? The headaches? Ulcers?

People below the 1800 level tend to think that the site is filled with cheaters, likely because they are bad/ have peaked so they can’t explain why they keep losing- they tend to make the excuse of cheaters rather then looking at the fault of their own play, because of this they don’t improve and will continue to accuse the site if intentionally harboring cheaters for money
