The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount. The vast majority of games and players are clean.

I haven't played on chess.com for months. The level of cheating was too high and costly for me. I started playing again today, playing two games against two promising new players. The behavior of these players is scandalous, and the administrators' inaction is truly embarrassing. I will immediately cancel my subsription and spread the word that chess.com has become unplayable.
