No, it is not supposed to be invite-only.

The 30-day requirement is enforced by new memberships requiring an approval from any of the admins.
WEll that kinda inconveniences people that want to join occasionally, read the latest "news" then quit the group.
Sometimes I like to join, read the latest, but I've never posted anything in there.
