Short time controls = increased luck factor. At class level, bullet chess basically IS throwing pieces across the board with a prayer.

Nah, don't worry. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

I have read a few topics on cheating and I must ask: "If a player is rated under 1500 why is it automatically assumed that someone needs a computer to beat them?"
Or ELO 2000, for that matter? Most of the accusations on this forum are by players under 1300, and I saw one by a player rated just over a 1000.
It is worth remembering that 1300, is competative for a 9 year old. So if you are like me, over 30 and rated in the D class accept that you are incredibly weak or incredibly inconsistent. It is just above the coffee shop level and less then a class above throwing pieces at the board from across a room.
I bring this up because I was accused of cheating last night in a 2 1 bullet game. It would take me longer than 5 minutes to figure out how one would even manage to cheat in bullet on a latop so quite frankly I would use that time to play another game above board.
Secondly, I was out of book by move 6. Sooner in my head as I wasn't familiar with the opening and only played the second worst during the game that lasted under a minute and the ELO spread was about 150.
So my advice for for those who are class players below 2000. Maybe you lost because you played poorly. It happens. If it didn't you would be +2200.
Deal with it.
I wrote a blog post about being accused. It was actually the highlight of my chess day.
