I used grandmaster level chess software to pick up some easy wins. I received a notice about cheating so thought of an excuse. Do you think this will work?
Cool story bro.

How can you possibly tell if the opponent you are playing is cheating?
The evidence for most players is that they have lost the game
if he took the time to log in under a new account then it would not be cheating. i do not consider it cheating since he is not a program. he is a well recognized player on another chess site as scorpion83 . out of respect to this site i feel it would seem like i was trying to promote another site so i will not mention the name of the other site. however it was fun to watch him play on this site. my children also play on my name sine it is easy for the to log in on my computer, is that also cheating?

yes.
Kevin, you're telling me that Varuzhan Akobian came onto chess.com and played games for you?
EDIT: As crazy as this seems, he might be telling the truth! Looking at his games, it's the same lines that Akobian plays...
http://www.chess.com/livechess/game.html?id=285790092
http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1628891
is the most apparent, as Akobian has tons of games in this line.
Also note that all games as black against 1. e4 are in the French, Akobian's most common opening.
Obviously he or she wins but most people win by legitimate reasons, let me rephrase my question. What signs can you look for during the game as an indication that your opponent is cheating. Your answer could be helpfull not only to me, but also to other potential victims.
if anyone would like to watch a grandmaster play and have a live comentary while he is playing let me know. i can ask him if he is interested. if enough people are interested perhaps the owners of the site will ask him themselves. scorpion83 is known by them
Well, we could just ask him: http://akobian.com/
And sorry if this happens to be actual true, but its still cheating to let a (better) player, play for you. I asume the game was rated?

If you want to get into the speculation regarding cheating, there is a cheating forum on Chess.com. On the main forums, cheating goes under the heading of 'No discussion of politics or religion'
i asked my best friend to play while i watched him play on this site. soon after i received a notice about cheating, is it cheating to let my friend play? he is a professional chess player and a grand master and knows the owners of this site. he was quickly disinterested in playing do to the lack of a challenge. i thanked him for entertaining me for 15 minutes. then we went to lunch
