how would you think, aliens or other exterrestial beings would fair in the game.
chess & aliens
so i got to thinking, since with this alien talk in the news lately about alien megastructures and dyson spheres.
I guess I'm not keeping up with the latest alien talk.

Depends...Do they study tactics?

They study spelling

So they're literate 1200s instead of illiterate 1600s. Got it!
(I'm only talking about aliens' ratings...not implying anything about you guys. )
As Star Trek Voyager security chief Tuvok once said, "Kal-toh is to chess, as chess is to tic-tac-toe". In other words, chess is too easy for aliens, so they would totally kick our arses. Ask FIDE president Kirsan Ilyumzhinov -- the topic probably came up during his alien abduction.
The kal-toh starting and finished positions are shown below in the left and right images, respectively. EDIT: here is a thesis describing kal-toh (but you probably won't understand it).
Why this assumption that aliens would always be intellectually superior to humans? THey might be as Intelligent as garden worms.

Not if they're building and piloting spaceships. Probably the only way we'll have the opportunity to play chess with them is if they come to us, since we are centuries aways from achieving inter-stellar travel (and on our present course, our species will probably not survive the next century).
Why this assumption that humans are intellectually superior to garden worms?
i have a good suspicion that a few of my co-workers are at least as smart as garden worms
For what it's worth I believe the grey abductions are real...Have a look at David Jacobs and Roger Leir on the subject....Anyone who decries it, just hasn't looked at the evidence.
There is much on this subject and there are some deluded/charletons/"circuit speakers" who detract from the truth. For example, there's a lot of junk on the History channel's "Ancient Aliens", which unfortunately damages UFOology's credibility...it "poison the well ".
Most members of the public have the intellect of earthworms , to the extent they accept the mainstream narrative on this, and indeed on many other topics.
"Green Aliens " was a mishearing from Roswell in 1947. I think it was Mac Brazel a witness to the debris field who changed his testimony after government pressure and probably the money to buy a new truck. Apparently after recanting his story, some newspaper scribbler jibed him about "green aliens" and he said something like "They were grey not green"....of course the "green alien" tag entered the mainstream thought process and became a means by which the public thinking themselves "informed" have been able to act as gatekeepers for the coverup
Aliens always lose on time. Just play 1. Nf3 and they spend most of their time doing biopsy on the knight.
Why this assumption that humans are intellectually superior to garden worms?
Worms are at least more beneficial than most humans.
Aliens will use telepathy to smacktalk you during the game, so it's even worse than playing a docker on chess.com.
