Chess and Asthma

Do any other asthmatics find that their results can oftentimes depend on how well you're breathing?

Not if you take your inhalers regularly -

I do, but my asthma is quite severe and I'm also on additional steroids.  It's been really tough.

I also am on two inhalers, steroids and a beige coloured tablet called Montelukast to control it since I was a kid, I am 50+ years of age. But I can really appreciate how it can effect daily routine and life - sounds as if ye have a more severe condition than mine. My heart really does go out to you.

Thanks for your support!  I got adult onset so had to learn in my 50's to deal with it & have been going through a particularly bad flare-up.  As you know, when you can't breathe well, it effects everything.  I also don't have a good "chess brain" (unlike my husband who's quite good).  But he taught me some basics and being able to play online has been a godsend because there are so many days when I need to rest.  Wishing you all the best!
