Chess Apps for the phone question

I use an android system and have been pretty disappointed with the selection of chess apps.  I really enjoy shredder and use it for most of my needs...however, I noticed some of the iphone apps like Chess University and e+chess reader which is an app that allows for interactive books to be used...from what I am seeing it looks like you can read a chess book and just make the moves right there on the screen instead of setting up the board or running it through your head.  My question is...does anyone know if android has an app like the interactive books or the chess university app...or if one is coming out?  I have tried looking everywhere, but was curious if anyone was in the know on this topic.
