First of all thank you!
Second ... I know every part of this application know and all tools within it including cool timers clocks etc ... that said I not need be shown where link is as i shared clearly so there is no back forth chats here ... that I know how grab link etc ... its when you copy paste into another it truncates it ...
Third and foremost now this you say have value!! YET ... show me where it say that ... we cannot think in business or tech .. more so tech no think must know and have back up data ... PLEASE show me where it say that ... for in my view it offsets reason to have id and url to share as you can just add any member of chess.com another easy way ... so please show me where it say anywhere it say one has to be a member to join
And truly thank you for your time!
There are very few features on site that can be used without an account. Classroom isn't one of them and all participants have to have an account on site.
Again ... show me where such says.
You cannot do business with "wonder" and or "thinking" more so in tech such answers cannot be as such either to rely on. Thoughts are only assumption and without content supported data, I feel you may be wrong however without data/content and know facts of such issue ... either one of us cannot be sure, hence my first asking above to all.
Of course once again ... thank you for your time of care of course (and trust me i know i know You probably just look for such too as its data and cannot find it ... me too, i cannot find such documentation either. But again the way its setup ... this is not about a student having an account or playing on chess.com ... its setup to teach and its a sharp tool if i can get it to sync with students.
Again thank you kindly for efforts, yet to no outcome the issue is still about.
Pretty sure it doesn't specifically call that out because as I said, most every feature requires an account and Classroom requires an account. Your experience proves that's the case.
Correct, however that is just a process ... those are not instructions to a teacher ... to build a classroom there are many instruction to which any application will tell you what you have to do including how to loop in a student ... not relying on the student to tell teacher "look what pop up a sign in window" ... again you cannot find instruction on id, or how to use url correctly and more so as i said again not as as student view but as a teacher and instruction view you will not find instructions as how to share link or url and actually seeing it be done ... nor will you find if a person has to have an account or not ... just by trying it does not qualify such factor as to the need and again more so it voids out reasons for link and id ... you see there is a quick way to loop in a student member in the app. no need link or id ... the link and id is for outside students with no chess.com account per say ... yet again this is all with the wonder as you nor I and i am hoping someone can help answer this
Thank you
The link can be used for a non-member but they will have to create an account to access the classroom.
The link can also be sent to a student that is already a member to make it easier for them to access the classroom you have set up.
The answer is that all students have to have or create an account. There is no guest access for the Classroom feature.
You don't have to believe what I'm telling you. However, it's how the Classroom feature works.
If you want confirmation, you can always ask support. They're going to tell you the same thing.

The two main pieces of documentation are the release post https://www.chess.com/news/view/chesscom-releases-new-classroom-feature and help article https://support.chess.com/article/3829-how-do-i-use-classroom
It's been out almost a year, when you include the release to beta, so other than some updates to those above, due to recent changes, that is the only document that is likely to be provided. Those also include a video about using it.
I have already at same time ago wrote support kindly asking same data ... yet no response yet.
Per your vid. i told ya i have seen it all already.
Again its not about believe you ... and or nor believe me ... in business its not about feelings or believe its about facts and things working.
Thx.
Can anyone use classroom or only coaches can use it
Anyone. Non-premium have limits on class size
Hi All, Any help here would be huge, as I usually can solve any tech issue within some time, yet here I am stumped.
I have read about every articles on classrooms within here forums to outside on the internet and I cannot find answer to this and more so old articles are not update to what I see in changes on the gui in the new classroom.
So issue is this:
1. Where in the world is the ID that is shown and said to share to students?
2. Does a student need to be a member of chess.com / meaning do they have to have their own chess.com account (while yes i tested that and it works) but not all students will have such account and more so that is the "REASON" for the link and url to share to outside users persay, so does anyone test with an outside user? and what is outcome etc etc
3. This is the one I thought i should be able to solve but "CANT!" ... so since there is not one document anywhere found as to show how you get the id and where it is so you can share ... thus i turn to then grab link ... i grab link it through/adds an extra folder name like monkey-arms or something funny to the end of url for the room ... thus you can either grab url from address bar or the link provided ... either way such is able to copy ... THEN! you paste into a test browser (do not use same browser you are using login into chess.com / use different so it sees you as outside user/ no account etc) ... so you paste that into a new browser and click enter and it strips away the funny end part name of address and hooks you to the room where it requires you to get an account or login.
Now i have tested this inside and out and I cannot figure it out ... even sent link to cell as to ensure I am no on same ip address etc ... still no works. I cannot figure out how to get a student logged into the classroom unless they have a chess.com account and i really do not think that is the design of this ... for if you teach you teach ... you cannot require students to obtain accounts for simple class and again it no where talks about "require" an account in any data or articles ... in fact funny thing is no one talks about how to get id and share and or talks or shows about how get url and share and demonstrate it ... so i am lost ... need help more so for peace of mind that to which I was not able to solve on my own ... yes i have ping chess.com but they busy too so sent them a bug report we shall see outcome but i need teach in the mean-term and this tool is sharp for what i want to do and test students etc it will work great and thus here I am stuck at entry
