Chess.com: "If you win, it doesn't count ..."
Your opponent was rated 100. Think again.
I addressed that in my post:
I didn't pick that opponent . Why did they build a matchmaker that would allow me to be matched with someone that I couldn't gain anything by beating?
Let’s see, a 1299 vs. a 100. Maybe you should change your settings to play only those at your level. No points should be awarded for playing and winning a game against someone rated 1199 points beneath you.
They call it "ranked" but you can win and still get *zero* ELO.
Seriously, why design a matchmaker that can put me in a game that I can't win anything for playing. "If you win it doesn't count" what kind of playground rule is that?
That's how many rating systems work. If the winner is a lot higher rated than their opponent then they don't get any rating increase.

You can set your ranges.
That said, staff are looking into the possibility that there is a big allowing such a wide rating difference in general. It should normally happen unless there wasn't another good pairing available.

I almost agree, but why would the matchmaker allow the match to begin with???

Thank you for being one of very few posts to actually read my post
I agree I probably shouldn't get ELO for such a lopsided match, but you can check my almost 2,000 games over the last five years, this is probably the most lopsided match ever. The matchmaker should, by default, never put a player into matches that "it doesn't matter if you win"

Like, I'm unhappy I believe I should get one single ELO point
But my larger point is that the matchmaker should have never allowed such a match to begin with. It was unfair to the guy I stomped and it was unfair to me because I couldn't win anything by winning.
