Why do people wish to rematch anyways? It must be more than the desire to play another game, for that the system can match them in a few seconds, so it must be what they really want is to play the person who just defeated them. That sounds like a self-image-ego issue, not a game-site issue. Obsession with rematches indicates that some peoples sense of self is so fragile that it can be upset by not winning an online game against opponents they do not know, and will likely never meet, over non-existent stakes.

I don't care about being better than an opponent that seldom I will have to play with again. I only care about my ELO and try so hard to do my best when playing regardless the opponent is. And I have faced some times the situation with people that challenges me again and accept, they make fun of me when I lose the reveange or start to insult when I win them once more. So, at least for me, I prefer to play randomly and not concede opportunity to a new challenge for those reasons.
