Every time I start playing one of those chess variants, the site starts to lag. I keep losing like that

yeah, go on the website on your ipad lol (there's no way to quote properly on the app)
This is just one of the many reasons I hate online blitz so much... It's really too bad that people don't play long games as much on this site like on lichess
I experience no lag
I guess it all depends on how far you are located from chess.com:
$ geoiplookup chess.com
GeoIP Country Edition: US, United States
Since the server is located in the US I've noticed that for me (from Sweden) I tend to loose a lot more on time (blitz) at chess.com then comparing to e.g. lichess.org or chess24 . I don't know if the other sites have more servers spread across the globe.
It's always so frustrating to loose while being +10 but not having the time to finish your opponent 
1|0 bullet on lichessorg is better than on chesscom.
