chess.com locked a fun fact. small thing or biased action?

It is just a fun fact. I had no intention of making it political. Barron trump and donald trump enjoy chess and I think trump held an elite event one time. Dear chess.com - [removed -- MOD]! I deserve to say that. There are many threads that degrade trump, they are not locked. I mentioned a fun fact about Him, unbiased I literally said that he is the first president that is fan of chess! I'm not even a Trump supporter! from an unbiased standpoint it looks even more disgusting, it does look like chess.com is biased. I know not many will read this before it is locked, but I had to defend basic rights ( I know they're a private company so they technically did nothing wrong; except on the level of common sense)

I hope the guy who locked it just misread the post!

Trump's IQ is 170 - FACT.  I don't know how good he is, but his potential is high based on his IQ and ability to think on his feet.

I watch a lot of political shows (on the left and on the right) and have never seen anyone mention Trump's IQ.  What is your source?

Many people claim that Donald Trump has an IQ score of somewhere between 151 - 156 which would mean he is a genius, smarter than 99.99% of the population. This is based on his SAT score, back when SAT scores correlated with IQ, and his graduating from Wharton.  BING.com

A.  it's rhetorical hyperbole B.  It's an estimate, and his real IQ could be 170 or higher.   Could be lower, too, but we know he's in the upper 99th percentile.

140 iq is genius level.

A. Then why did you use the word FACT (in capital letters no less)?

B. 140 is not genius level.

C. You have at least one thing in common with Trump.  You make things up as you go along.

But these are based on Terman's Stanford–Binet original (1916) classification.

There are a number of other scales, almost all of them use the term "Superior" or "Very Superior" to name the top scores. The vast majority of them start in the 130-140 range for top scores.

I had always been under the impression that a score of 160 was genius but that is a fallacy.

There is also no indication from a cursory google search that either Donald or Barron play chess, aside from the Daily Mail and some blogs, which are obviously not credible.  Even if they did, Donald would certainly not be the first, because most of the Founding Fathers and many presidents since then have been chess players.

Before you claim something that's obviously untrue as a fact, maybe try and verify it first. Just a thought.

This is exactly the sort of problem that starts to occur when the person holding the highest office in the nation (and, arguably, the world) regularly distorts information and makes 'facts' up on the spot -- it becomes 'normal' and 'acceptable' for people to claim something as a fact (in all caps, without a hint of sarcasm) and then, when they're called on it, say they did it "for fun."

snopes is highly partisan with many lies an inaccuracies, but his IQ is almost certainly NOT 156, because that's merely an estimate based on SAT scores and high standards at Wharton.  140 is genius level iq, as I said.   IQ levels are nebulous by nature, there is nothing concrete or certain about their meaning.  Trump scored in the 99th percentile on his SATs, borrowed a million bucks and turned it into billions, and is a best selling author, top media personality, and president of the USA.  You can assume he is in the upper echelon of human intelligence, and that's all you really need to take away from this discussion.
