It’s free to join. Stop complaining.

Yes, it is.

I wish there was a chess site that paid people to join , but what can you do

No, it's clearly free to join.  I was a free member for years.  I think last year or early this year was when I began paying for premium content and access.  Another option: get titled.  All titled players from Master and up get a free lifetime membership to chess.com for their highest-tiered membership (worth $99 per year).

Even an Arena FIDE title is valid for instance.

Especially the fact that chess.com forces members to pay to register.

Reasons that will never happen:

1. You're not old enough yet (9 years to go!)

2. That would be considered abuse of power and you would be demoted fast

3. The chances of you being accepted are low

4. Even if you do somehow become moderator you will mute some guy for nothing and your status will be promptly revoked for abuse of power

I have never been muted except for this time I accidently spammed @myteachersam and he muted me for 60 minutes

Reported for multi accounting.

Hey there. This is Aizen89.  I made this new account just to prove that basic accounts cost nothing.  You either don't know what you're talking about, or you're lying.

I know what I am talking about and I am not lying.

superchessmachine

Man this is crazy. Basic members need to pay to use the site!

Dreaming is free. Joining chess.com isn't.

congrandolor

I think you are confused. I realised you have to be premium to play tournaments now, but joining the site is free

The Titles that Chess.com recognises are in the FAQ - Arena titles are not included in that list.

Basic members are "free" in the sense that they don't have to pay: they get ads, which helps offset the costs. Any level of premium membership removes the ads, and you can decide exactly what benefits you're willing to pay for.

@superchessmachine: Enough with the lie that all members have to pay. Repeat it again and you will get a stronger sanction.

@Aizen89: each member can only have one active account at a time: you should have closed the new one as soon as you had made your point. I have closed it for you.

@Postafi: We have now had enough with your relentless negativity across multiple threads: if you don't have something positive to say about the site, don't say anything at all, or your ability to comment will be curtailed.

Thanks,

David, moderator
