this site is garbage, everything is overrated, all you need to do to beat 2000 players is not hang pieces and take hanging pieces
blitz rating = real rating + 600

A more serious answer:
Your chess.com blitz rating is typically + or - 300 points of your OTB rating. Not always though.
I think the only way he'll know for sure is if he actually plays an OTB tournament and gets a rating... isn't that like, the best way?
One thing has been really bothering me since I started playing on the Website.
There is no rating convertor calculator available on Chess.com.
Therefore, nobody really has an answer to how much your chess.com rating increases when converting to OTB. There are only theories.
These are theories I've gathered so far.
A Chess.com blitz rating of 1100 is around 1800. (The rule of adding 700)
A second theory suggests you add only 200 to your blitz rating.
A third less mainstream theory suggests looking at Bullet rating. It states Take chess.com bullet rating and add 150 to convert to OTB.
With all these conflicting theories it's impossible for me to find my actual OTB rating. Is there an actual calculator than I'm not aware of? Or is it proper to follow any one of these theories?
Thank you for the help
I think that one is correct. My blitz rating is 1800, so... I guess I should be a GM!
@vladimirherceg91
If you actually want a serious answer to your question - I looked at your 3+0 blitz games, and I believe you'd be rated ~1000 FIDE in classical chess, given the relatively fast time control of 3+0.
You miss basic tactics in 3+0, but what 1000 FIDE player wouldn't miss those?
Also, although I disagree with your resigning in "lost" positions, at least you don't let the clock run down to 0 when you lose, which is more much better conduct than many people rated higher than you.
Yeah macer is a GM, I'm a GM, Cherub is a super GM right on the tail of Magnus himself!..... Nonsense.

Thank you, I pride myself on my conduct.
my otb is 118 ecf , my online is 1600 , i would say a club player of 150 ecf , is = ish to a 1800 - 1900 cc online grade
the grades are skewed though as in otb you aint got game explorer or databases for endgames , you rely on study and experience
Writer's block, what can I say.
I think that bullet games are deceiving because of the fact that it's not good Chess at all it's Chess with no time to really think or plan. So it really comes down to who has the fastest computer if both players are equal strength. It's a race for time. Blitz is kind of the same way. But I still never can understand why people have a hard time when it comes to internet chess and over the board chess it's the same chess except a 2d board and you play other players just like over the board so maybe in the faster games there is a difference but in the slower time controls what does it matter if you analyze using a 2d board or analyze over the board in a 3D board game.

That's really funny!
A chess.com blitz rating of 1100 is probably about 750 USCF and such a person cannot qualify for a FIDE rating. I would expect the USCF and Canadian ratings to be within +/-50.
I have a blitz rating of ~2200 here and an OTB rating of ~2000.
From my observations it seems the chess.com rating becomes worth less and less compared to OTB rating the higher you climb.
Otherwise the blitz rating in particular seems to often be rather close to someones actual OTB rating.
I guess it depends. There are people with FIDE higher and people with FIDE lower than their chess.com blitz ratings.
I think I fit in the former.

To be honest, I think you do as well - you make a lot of tactical blunders in blitz, which you could avoid in slower time controls. But positionally you play OK.

That's kind of disheartening to hear to be honest. I always fantasized about being an attacking tactician like Tal. This is why I do 5 tactics a day here on chess.com.
